White Black Screen
Privacy-First Architecture · Zero Tracking

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2025. WhiteBlackScreen.com is committed to protecting your privacy. We operate on a strict privacy-first principle: our display tools run 100% locally in your browser.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Unlike most web applications, WhiteBlackScreen.com does not collect, track, or sell your personal data.

  • We do not require user accounts, registrations, or logins.
  • We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses.
  • We do not track your IP address, geolocation, or personal browsing habits.
  • We do not use behavioral tracking pixels (no Facebook Pixel, no remarketing tags).

2. Client-Side Processing Architecture

All interactive features on WhiteBlackScreen.com—including the Kelvin Color Temperature Slider, Dead Pixel Multi-Color Diagnostic Tester, Stuck Pixel 60 FPS Excitation Flasher, Web Audio Noise Synthesizer, and High-Resolution Wallpaper Generator—execute strictly within your client web browser (via HTML5 Canvas and Web Audio API).

No canvas data, generated wallpapers, or audio streams are ever uploaded or transmitted to an external server.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We do not use tracking or profiling cookies.

  • Local Storage: If you adjust your preferred brightness, audio volume, or color preferences, these settings may be saved in your browser's local storage (localStorage) solely to remember your settings on your next visit. This information never leaves your device.
  • No Third-Party Tracking Cookies: We do not host third-party tracking networks that plant behavioral tracking cookies.

4. Browser APIs & Hardware Permissions

Our web utilities may request access to the following browser capabilities upon your explicit interaction:

  • Fullscreen API: Used when you click the canvas or press F / Space to expand the screen to edge-to-edge full display.
  • Screen Wake Lock API: Used when you toggle the "Keep Screen Awake" button to prevent your operating system from dimming or locking during monitor testing, Zoom lighting, or sleep noise sessions.
  • Web Audio API: Used exclusively to synthesize real-time white, pink, and brown ambient noise client-side without streaming external audio files.

5. Progressive Web App (PWA) & Offline Caching

WhiteBlackScreen.com includes a lightweight Service Worker (sw.js). Its sole purpose is to cache static HTML, CSS stylesheets, JavaScript files, and SVG icons on your device so you can use the display utilities without an active internet connection.

6. Third-Party CDNs

To deliver fast typography and Core Web Vitals performance, we load open-source Google Fonts (Geist and Geist Mono) via Google’s public static CDN. Google may collect standard HTTP server logs (such as IP address and user-agent) necessary for serving font files in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.

7. Children's Privacy

Our website is safe for general audiences of all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.
