Everything You Need to Know
Common questions about screen utilities, color temperature, dead pixels, and monitor care.
What causes IPS Glow?
IPS (In-Plane Switching) panels utilize liquid crystal molecules arranged parallel to the glass. Because light escapes at wide angles, a visible glow appears near the four corners when viewing dark content in a dimly lit room.
How do I distinguish IPS Glow from Backlight Bleed?
Step back 1.5 meters from your monitor and tilt your head left and right. If the corner glow shifts or disappears as your viewing angle changes, it is normal IPS Glow. If the bright patch stays locked in the exact same spot regardless of angle, it is Backlight Bleed.
Is IPS glow covered under monitor warranty?
No, standard IPS glow is an inherent physical property of all IPS matrix panels and is not considered a manufacturing defect, whereas localized edge backlight bleed often is.
